Md Munirul Haque, Ph.D., is a Research Scientist in Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering, Purdue University. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship in SECuRE and Trustworthy Computing Lab (SECRETLab) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Previously, he was a member of Ubicomp lab, Marquette University, USA, from where he received his Ph.D. in 2013. His academic studies and training have made him an expert in the area of mobile based real life applications. He led a group of researchers who developed the very first mobile-based remote symptom monitoring and management tool for terminally ill rural cancer patients of Bangladesh. He is currently working on medical device alarm data collection and analysis to improve patient safety. He has received several awards for his research works including best paper awards in COMPSAC 2007, CHI 2012, and RACS 2013. He has more than 35 publications in top journals and peer reviewed conferences. His field of interest encompasses security and privacy in pervasive health, m-Health, and HCI (Human Computer Interaction).
